RSS is a great way for you to be automatically notified of new Pharmacy jobs. RSS has been around for a while now and you may see other web sites, especially News web sites, that have the familiar logo. When you see this logo it means the website has the ability for you to be notified when something new occurs.

RSS works in combination with a piece of software, called a News Aggregator. Don't let the name scare you - it's really a very simple way of viewing multiple RSS 'feeds'. For example you can have a RSS feed for news e.g. the BBC news or Yahoo! News. You may also have one for the latest food recipes, sports results, etc.

Once installed, the News Aggregator software will check every e.g. 5 minutes for any updates on your subscribed RSS feeds.

PharmacyJobsOnly.com has supplied a RSS feed that contains the latest jobs for each state. The image below shows an example News Aggregator (FeedReader) with the RSS feed for California correctly set up.



With RSS you can be the first to get notified of new pharmacy jobs in your state. Below is the complete list of RSS feeds for this site. Simply right click on the icon, and select Copy Shortcut (if using IE) or Copy Link Location (if using FireFox) to copy the link to the clipboard. Then go to your News Aggegrator of choice and create a New Feed. When prompted for the location of the RSS feed simply paste the link (CTRL+V), provide a name e.g. PharmacyJobsOnly.com - CA and you're done!
