Clinical Informatics Opportunities of EPIC Proportion in the Sunniest Place on Earth!!!Clinical Informatics expert with demonstrated management and leadership abilities needed to supervise implementation of an integrated Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in which Ambulatory, Business and Clinical aspects of the EMR will be addressed in a patient-centric manner.
In this position as Inpatient Supervisor, you will serve as the liaison between the organizations clinical department, the Business Office, the Ambulatory Practice Management effort, and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) project staff.
Please be knowledgeable of clinical/hospital operations, processes, policies, and procedures. You will be responsible for the build, implementation and eventual roll out of all the Epic Inpatient modules. Responsibilities will include supervision of the Epic Inpatient certified builders, monitoring of progress from the Clinical Applications project work breakdown structure (WBS), supervising certification and build activities, monitoring testing and training of build and end users, and mentoring and leading this team.
You will be expected to conduct regular day-to-day communication with EMR build/implementation teams, the installation team, review of all applicable software, analyze clinical operations, and work with Epic to tailor the system to meet the organization's needs. As needed, you will perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of Epic inpatient modules, and be responsible for developing and documenting the internal procedures that will be used in conjunction with all Epic Clinical applications.
In addition, you will ensure excellent customer service and achievement of fiscal responsibility as outlined in the budget goals, using continuous process improvement through lean six sigma approach.
Company Background Qualifications- Registered Nurse highly desired.
- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical field required; Master's Degree in related Clinical/Information Technology field preferred. (Comparable experience may be substituted for formal education.)
- The ideal candidate will have 7+ years related experience in clinical, technical and/or leadership roles; 3+ years Team Management experience; 3+ years Project Management experience.

- Management experience in a healthcare/hospital setting preferred.
- EMR experience required.
- Lean and Six Sigma Training a plus.

- Please note: ability to travel for training to maintain annual Epic Standard certification will be required (travel will be limited to a few times a year for one-week at a time).
