Clinical Informatics Opportunities of EPIC Proportion in the Sunniest Place on Earth!!!

Clinical Informatics expert needed for implementation of an integrated Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in which Ambulatory, Business and Clinical aspects of the EMR will be addressed in a patient-centric manner.

In this position as Cache Database Administrator, you will be responsible for management of servers running InterSystems Caché and Epic software. This position will understand how Epic software is managed at the system level and how issues relate to the monitoring of database growth, copying Epic environments and system basics such as printing and user access. You will work closely with project teams, the installation team, review software, analyze business operations, and work with Epic and Organization Subject Matter Experts to tailor the database to fit the organization's needs. You will perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of Epic's database software, and will be responsible for developing and documenting the standard internal database procedures that will be used in conjunction with Epic applications.



Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field required; Master's Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred. (Comparable experience may be substituted for formal education.)


• 2+ years IT experience with demonstrated proficiency in Mumps, PL/SQL, SQL, HL7; ability to develop functional specifications, test scripts, data models and business procedure.


• Experience with Epic desired.




• Please note: ability to travel for training to maintain annual Epic Standard certification will be required (travel will be limited to a few times a year for one-week at a time).
